I open my mouth And in a breath ~ There is gratitude And praise ~ For too long I inhaled ~ The dirt Of darker ways ~ Now the soul’s confusion Is purged from pollution ~ By songs of adoration Through prayerful days. ~

Like a Dove

~ Fired with desire by humility refusing to exult in the world ~ Tormenting himself in seclusion with groanings for God ~ Hungry, thirsty, afflicted with weeping ~ In the wood he cried for his Lord and cooed like a dove in his praise. ~ Inspired by 'The Little Flowers of St. Francis' ~

Alive with Creativity
