Branches to Infinity

I sit under the shadows of the unseen God

            who branches to infinity

and roots inside our soiled hearts

            earthing them in prayer

They come to ask of me

            and all I can offer

is a heart connected in spirit

            to the love that invisibly grows without

                        within the human ground.
