As if it was unbearable

To know

Our true selves

As if pain

Could destroy

The strength

Of the soul

Which endured it all

Despite the mind’s fall.

From God

As if life depended

On independence

A devoted delusion

Miring the mind

With ego’s sad

And blind confusion.
